This double cottage in Wales was renovated and benefited from high performance Kastrup windows
Some rotten timber garden rooms were replaced by modern, insulated glass extensions
The owners were keen to have windows that would keep the warmth in the house, reducing heatloss, lowering their carbon footprin and making the home more comfortable to live in. They also wanted windows that would suit the cottage, and our Kastrup windows were perfect for them. The Spruce wood on the inside help maintain the character of the interior.
They liked the old timber garden rooms but wanted something to be used all year round, hence the decision to replace them with warm alumnium glass extensions. What is unusual is that we were able to combine Solarlux glass roofs with Kastrup windows & doors. The triple-glazed Kastrup windows have Spruce timber on the inside to match the rest of the windows in the home.
