A wonderful eco build with our ultra energy-efficient Kastrup windows. The clients is a farmer, building on land that his family have owned for a long time. These alu-clad timber windows ticked all the boxes for them: thermal performance... sustainable timber... Danish style... Danish build quality... beautifully finished! And they love them very much!
The windows are Kastrup Modern E++ and have a Uw value of around 0.75 which massively exceeds the legal minimum of 1.2 (lower is better). This means they are extremely good at preventing heat loss. On the inside, they are Spruce with a natural laquer. On the outside, the windows are anthracite grey aluminium with a Fuji finish — this has a slight texture on it creating an attractive aesthetic.
Kastrup only use slow-growing wood from certified forests. All timber is either FSC® or PEFC® certified. All their hardwood comes from environmentally friendly, sustainable forestry as well.
