A Unique Luxury Self Build Home in Bedfordshire

Our client is a successful businessman and it had been his life-long dream to design and build his own home. His existing property included a small field and this gave him the opportunity to follow his dream. He managed to gain planning permission to build a large new home on the land.
The new house was designed by the client himself in conjunction with his architect. In fact, he was involved in all stages of the design & build and did some of the work himself including electrics and pipework. Because of a slight risk of flooding, the house is actually built on stilts, just in case. The design included large expanses of glass including big frameless-style sliding doors, to give a bright, airy-open plan living space.
The client knew us well as he had extended his old home and we had installed some huge Solarlux Cero sliding doors and some bifold doors. He had been very impressed with both the products and with the service we provided, giving us a glowing 5-star review at the end of it. He wanted Solarlux again, but also our Danish timber/alu windows from Kastrup. He'd seen them in our showroom and loved them, especially the slim-framed Invi range — although, on our recommendation, he opted for Kastrup Nature+ for the large fixed panels. The timber on the inside was finished in white, but also in black in certain rooms. For the outside, the client chose the black textured finish (Sablé) that he'd seen in our showroom.
