This is one of those projects that was a delight to be involved with. The period home has been transformed and extended to a very high standard. The home now has a contemporary, light-filled open-plan design which is perfect for modern family life....but still retaining the wonderful character of the old building.
The choice of windows reflects the wider ethos of the design. One one hand, the Kastrup windows are high-performance, aluminium-clad windows with coated triple glazing. On the other hand, with Kastrup, we are able to create a design to match the period character, without compromising the high performance. To add to that, the build-quality, finish and feel of the windows meet the very high standard that the clients were working to. Indeed the clients have commented on how much they love the windows, and particularly highlighted the "feel" of them when opening or shutting them.
